How to make easy paper Santa crafts
What you need:
- pencil
- drag
- ruler
- colored paper (red, light yellow, pink)
- white paper
- black marker
- white chalk marker
Step-by-step instructions
Base
Ask your child to cut a longer rectangle from white paper and use a pencil to draw a few lines on the bottom. We drew seven lines.
Hat
Ask them to cut a triangle out of red paper – one side should be as wide as the white paper (the beard).
face
Ask your child to cut out a rounded edge of a light yellow rectangle and glue it to the top part of the white paper.
Have them glue the hat to the top.
Eyes
Our Santa needs eyes – have the children cut out two smaller white circles and glue them on his face.
Using a black marker, ask your child to draw two dots on their eyes.
To make the eyes more realistic, have your child use a white marker and draw two dots for each eye.
Nose
Ask the children to cut an oval from pink paper and glue it onto Santa’s face for a nose.
Hat decoration
To make the hat more pretty, ask the children to cut circles from white paper and glue them along the edge of the hat and Santa’s face.
They will look even more impressive if the circles overlap.
Reserve a circle for the tip of the hat.
beard
Have your child cut along the beard line.
Now, ask them to use a pencil to gently swirl each strip into the pencil.
Continue to the face.
Ask them to create these swirls on every second part of the beard.
Now, let’s add another layer of glamour!
Have your child repeat the swirling process with alternating strips, gently rotating them underneath the other strips to create a beautiful effect.
To give the beard a fuller look, add another beard by repeating the previous steps.
This time, ask the child to create the swirls a little lower than the first beard.
Then, ask the children to glue the second beard to Santa’s back.
