Fall Window Clings

Window treatments are a great way to add color and seasonal decoration to your home’s windows.

They’re also great for kids who love to touch, move, and rearrange decorations, giving them some control over at least some of the holiday decorations!

These fall window stickers are designed by kids and can be enjoyed, reused or given to others.

With just 2 ingredients you can easily make this dish and you probably have everything on hand to make this dish today!

Autumn Window Stickers

What you need:

  • school glue
  • hand painted
  • small paint brush
  • gallon zipper bag
  • paper
  • black marker

Step by step instructions

For each color you want to make, you will need about 2 tablespoons of glue and 1-2 teaspoons of craft paint.

We use red, yellow, orange and brown for the traditional fall colors.

Stir the paint and glue together until well blended.

You can let your child draw anything freely or guide them by drawing fall shapes on a piece of paper with a marker and placing it inside a plastic bag.

Create leaves of different shapes and sizes, turkeys, autumn trees, acorns, pumpkins, corn stalks, etc.

Show your child how to color thickly in their drawings. You want a thick layer on the plastic bag so it can withstand being moved.

For toddlers, you can have them color all over the gallon bag. Make sure it is thick enough that you can’t see through the color. Let it dry into a large sheet of paper and then use scissors or metal cookie cutters to cut shapes out of the large sheet of paper.

We painted, drizzled, swirled, and dabbed to color our way to our vision.

For your product to dry completely, our product takes up to 24 hours to dry in some thicker areas.

Peel them out of the plastic bag and stick them on the window!

You can restore and use them in the future but because they are made of glue and paint they are prone to warping, cracking and can stick together – you can stack them between pieces of wax paper for temporary storage.

We use them for one season, throw them away, and make more each season.
