There are many ways you can teach CVC words and let your child learn them, this CVC word circle is definitely one of the most engaging.
This activity is great for learning about word groups, practicing reading and even writing.

So how does it work? Each short sound is on its own sheet, so your child can practice each group of words one at a time.
You can give your child a pen and a pencil and ask them to write down the words they find.
Let your child spin the wheel and try to find as many words as possible for each group of words. For example, your child could go hunting for the group of words -an. As they spin the wheel, they will discover many words such as – pan, man, fan, can, ran…
Encourage your child to read words aloud – you can ask them to read only CVC words or ask them to read nonsense words aloud – after all, this is a great way to practice reading.
They can also choose an initial sound – for example R – and see what CVC words with a short A sound they can make – rat, ran, rag, rap, ram.
What you need:
Print out the form.
Cut them out.
Place the paper with the image and circle inside the plastic bag.
Heat the plastic injection machine.
Place the two circles you cut out inside another plastic bag.
Laminated wood.
Enjoy the feeling when the paper comes out of the laminator (we all know you love that ;).
Cut off the plastic part.
Punch a hole through all 3 sections (punch through the black dot located on each section)
You can do this with a split pin although there are other more effective tools.
But a split pin will definitely come in handy when doing this project since you’ll need it anyway.
Now push the split pin through the holes, starting with the hole of the smallest circle.
Next, let’s go through the biggest one.
Good and careful.
Finish by pushing the split pin through the last sheet of paper.
Protect it.
Done.
