Maybe you know Nemo and Dory.

They are great fish friends, aren’t they? And have you played Feeding Frenzy yet?

This is definitely our favorite fishing game so far.

Give it a try!

We decided to spread the love for fish and do a really fun fish project today.

This is an origami fish, but not an ordinary fish.

This fish can talk.

We love playing with it. It’s a great toy to have around when you’re bored.

A talking fish, awesome! What could be better?

How to make a talking fish paper craft

What you need:

  • A4 paper
  • 2 googly eyes
  • drag
  • glue
  • white acrylic paint and a cotton swab (if you want to add dots to the paper fish)

Let’s get started!

Step by step instructions

Fold the square and use scissors to cut off the excess paper.

Fold the triangle in half.

Please follow the images provided carefully!

Fold the triangle into two equal parts, one triangular part and one rectangular part.

Open the folds and fold the rectangle back again.

Fold a triangle out of the rectangular section.

Fold a small triangle on the same side…

…and open it.

Fold a small long triangle.

Fold a small triangle at the corner.

Unfold the folded paper. Now we will start assembling the fish.

Fold two opposite corners of the triangle.

Fold two longer triangles on each side.

Create a small triangle in the middle…

…by folding the middle section inward.

It will look like this.

Fold the square in the middle.

Take the two opposite sides that are not folded and start pushing them together so that the square is pressed inwards.

Notice what the paper looks like now.

Check to see if you have folded everything correctly.

Fold a long triangle.

Fold a long triangle to the opposite side. Now we have two tails.

Open the square we pressed inside.

Fold the two tail pieces inside the square…

… as shown in the image.

Like this.

Apply a small amount of glue between the parts and press the parts together with your fingers until the glue dries.

And hold it tight.

Apply some glue to the bulging eyes and glue them to the head.

Open the 3D fish and make it talk.

Done!

You can follow the video provided if you have difficulty assembling this project.

Show your parents this talking fish.

Is it fun to keep this fish in the house?

Happy crafting and stay tuned for more fish crafts!
