Winter time is the best time to make some crafts from polar animals. Today we show you a fun winter craft idea that your little ones can make.

This makes a great mom and me/dad and me activity – because you can use your handprints for the wings and your child’s handprints for the legs.

How to make simple handprints with Penguin Craft paper

What you need:

  • Paper of different colors
  • pencil
  • drag
  • glue
  • optional: googly eyes

Step-by-step instructions

Start by cutting out the shape of the penguin’s body (don’t know how? just make a figure 8 shape and cut around it – leave a little extra space in the “neck area”) from black paper.

Other colors also work well.

Cut a smaller penguin shape from white paper and cut a little V at the top.

Apply glue to the black image…

…and paste the white image on it.

Next, cut a triangle (or double triangle) from orange paper and glue it to the penguin’s face.

Also glue two googly eyes or draw eyes with a marker.

Draw around your hand, cut out the outline.

Two black hands outline the penguin’s wings and two orange hands make the penguin’s feet.

Put fingerprints on the body.

All done, your simple Paper Penguin Craft is complete.
