How to draw a castle step by step
What you need:
Instructions for drawing a castle step by step
Step 1
Start by drawing a square (make sure it’s big enough as this will be the front of our castle).
Step 2
Next, draw two rectangles, one on each side of the square you drew.
Step 3
Draw an arch for the front gate.
Also, draw trapezoid-like shapes above each rectangle.
Step 4
Draw another arch inside the first one. This will define our front gate more.
Next, draw the top walls (they are called battlements).
Step 5
Add more details to the front gate. Draw vertical lines (and keep them the same if you want this to be a drawbridge, or draw an ellipse for the door knob if you want this to be a door).
Step 6
Let’s make some towers! Draw rectangles on top of the battlements.
Step 7
Add a triangular roof on each tower.
Step 8
Add flags on top of each roof.
Each tower also has a simple window.
Step 9
It’s time to finish the drawing with some texture. Draw scalloped lines on the roof.
Randomly draw rectangles to make bricks for the castle.
Step 10
All done! Now that you know how to draw a castle, the only thing left to do is color it.
