What you need:

Step by step instructions

Once you decide you want to make these Origami Lucky Stars, you might be surprised at how easy they are! We’ll show you HOW to make these, so you can make them anytime your kids are bored!

You will want to start with a strip of paper. Place the colored strip of paper with the colored side facing up!

Hold the paper flat and fold the right edge of the paper up and down to look like the image above.

Now, bring the bottom end up and over the left end. Make sure you hold on tight with your left hand as you do the heavy work with your right hand.

Once you have created a loop, you can go ahead and thread the top end through the back, then you will feed it through the hole.

Continue pulling the end of the cord through the loop, eventually you will want to pull the bottom end of the cord to tighten the knot completely.

You will need to tuck the end of the strip inside the star. If you want to inflate the star, you will need to pinch the corner of the pentagon.

You’ll be doing this between your thumb and index finger. You’ll want to rotate each point of the star to help it puff up.

When you’re done, you’ll have a very cute and adorable Origami Lucky Star! You could make a whole bowl full of these and use them as table decorations.
