How to make a spiral Chinese dragon with paper

What you need:

Step-by-step instructions

Print the template and have your children color the dragon (or print the pre-colored template).

We start with yellow markers, but kids can use any color or highlighter. If children use markers, we recommend printing the template on thicker printer paper.

Yellow is done.

Ask the children to choose another color to fill in the dragon’s scales.

We finished the dragon’s body with red.

Ask them to color the dragon’s head – we thought the green gave ours a lively feel.

We also added some blue.

Our dragon’s head will be yellow.

And the same thing happens with the feet.

It’s time to color the fire.

And orange on the outside.

Almost finished coloring.

Add a few details to the nails and the coloring is complete!

Now, let your child cut out parts of the dragon.

Must have four legs and body.

Have children use scissors to draw dotted lines and cut out the snake-like body.

Instruct them to cut the dragon all the way to the tail.

Glue them to the legs.

Finished!

This paper spiral Chinese dragon looks so cool!

You can attach a string to its tail and hang it up.
