Our ladybugs can be made of clay, paper or plastic pots.

Kids have so much fun making a ladybug that they can play with and enjoy for days to come!

You can even put some treats or a hidden message underneath it!

This step-by-step guide will help you make a clay pot ladybug craft in no time.

How to make ladybug-shaped clay pots

What you need:

  • drag
  • glue
  • pencil
  • pot (made of clay, plastic, or paper)
  • black paper
  • acrylic paint (red and pink)
  • paint brush
  • sharp eyes
  • black pipe cleaners

Step-by-step instructions

Body

Paint the clay pot red.

Step 1

You may have to apply a few coats of paint to the pot to cover the entire pot.

Step 2

Cut a strip of black paper.

Step 3

Apply glue to the edge of the pot.

Step 4

Start gluing the black strip around it.

Step 5

Cut the piece of paper so that it lines up with the edge of the pot.

Head

You will draw the ladybug’s head on the black paper.

Step 7

Let’s continue cutting the head of the ladybug and glue it on the glitter eyes.

Draw a smiley face and cheeks on the ladybug’s face.

Take a pipe cleaner and cut it in half.
