We will show you how to make an awesome printable animal farm toy set

Your kids will have so much fun building this farm and taking care of the animals day and night.

The first thing you want to do is wake up the animals. You will do this by setting the sun on the farm in the morning.

So there is no need to yell, shake or stress them in any way to wake them up.

Just give them sunlight and they will grow.

Next, we want the animals to drink water, then we want them to eat.

So we just put them around the feeders and waterers.

Then we will let the children play outside.

When night falls, we want the animals to take a few hours nap.

Now we put the moon on the farm and put the animals to sleep. Easy – as easy as pie, right?

So are you ready to take on this super awesome project?

How to make a livestock farm

What you need:

  • our animal farm sample
  • drag
  • 2 equal boxes (we used tea boxes)
  • glue
  • 2 sheets of A4/letter size colored paper
  • velvet stick or wooden stick

Let’s get started!

Step by step instructions

Start by gluing the two boxes together.

Then wrap them carefully with colored paper.

Make a fence

Let’s build fences so our animals don’t run away.

Dimensions will vary depending on the height and width of the box.

Glue 12 wooden sticks lengthwise and 4 wooden sticks horizontally. You can also use paper straws.

Farm animals

Print and cut out the creatures from the template at the end of this post.

You can use the color version or the black and white version and color the creatures in the color of your choice.

The Moon and the Sun

Apply some glue to the back of the sun, moon and the back of all the animals and attach the wooden sticks.

Let the glue dry.

Water and food containers

Apply some glue to the back of the food and water containers and place them inside the farm.

Now place each animal in front of its food pot.

Remember – when the sun rises, the animals wake up.

If the moon rises, all animals take a nap.

Done!

Was this project fun to do?

And wait for it guys!

Have you named your pet yet? If not, you should do so now.

Just give them funny names and enjoy your farm.

See you soon with more fun crafts!
