Step by step instructions for making paper cherries

Cut out lots of circles from red paper.

If you don’t have a circle punch, use a circle template (glass, bottle) to draw a perfect circle and use that as a template. Cut out the circles with scissors (we recommend cutting several layers of paper at once to make things a little easier).

Cut a V shape from green paper.

Glue a circle to each end of the V shape.

Fold all the other circles in half. Folding multiple circles at once will make things go faster.

Take a circle and apply glue to one half.

Glue it to another circle folded in half. Then glue another circle (and another, and another).

You’re aiming for a nice hemisphere. There’s no set rule for how many circles you need to glue together – it could be as few as two or as many as a dozen (or more). It all depends on how “dense” you want your paper cherry to look when you’re done.

Apply glue to a circle in a V shape. Stick it to the half sphere.

Let the glue set.

Repeat and create another half sphere. Glue it to the remaining circle.

Make two more half spheres.

Flip the “cherry” over and glue the half spheres to the remaining sides of the circles in a V shape.

Your paper cherry craft is complete.
