How to make a ladybug box out of paper

What you need:

  • red cover
  • dark blue cardboard
  • light blue cardboard
  • white cardboard
  • black cardboard
  • drag
  • glue
  • The ruler is circular
  • round object (we used a jar lid)
  • black lining
  • pencil

Step-by-step instructions

Flower

Draw a circle on light blue cardstock.

Step 2

Cut out the circle with scissors.

Step 4

Paste the circle onto dark blue paper.

Step 5

Use the largest circle of the ruler and draw some flower leaves around the light blue circle.

Step 6

If you don’t have a ruler with circles, draw them by hand.

Step 7

Cut out the flowers.

Step 8

Outline the flower using black liner.

Step 11

Body of ladybug

To make a ladybug, you need to draw this box pattern on red paper.

Step 12

Below are the dimensions of the box.

Step 13

Now cut out the red box.

Step 15

Make some folds where the lines are.

Step 16

Apply just a little glue to the flaps (we folded the rectangles in four so you can see them).

Step 17

Assemble the box.

Step 18

Now, if you’re giving the ladybug to someone, you can put some treats in the box – a surprise note is also a good idea.

We don’t put anything into ours; We just closed it.

Step 19

Take a circular ruler and draw 20 small circles on black cardstock.

Step 20

Cut out the circles.

Step 21

Now use glue and place five dots on top, bottom, right and left.

Step 22

Feet

Cut six thin black strips and round their corners with scissors.

Step 23

Turn the ladybug onto its back and glue the legs to its bottom part as shown.

Step 24

Antenna

On black cardstock, draw the head of a ladybug with two thin antennae.

Step 25

Cut the head off.

Step 26

Glue the head to the front part of the box.

Step 27

Eyes

On white cardstock, draw two round eyes and a small round mouth.

Step 28

Cut them out.

Step 29

Glue the eyes and mouth onto the ladybug’s head.

Step 30

Apply some glue to the bottom of the box and attach the ladybug to the flower.
