When it comes to winter crafts for kids, kids often think of penguins, snowmen, and occasionally polar bears.
We love penguin crafts, one of our favorites is definitely the toilet paper roll penguin which is great for preschoolers and kindergarteners or the cotton ball penguin which toddlers can play with too.
The tutorial we are sharing today is suitable for older kids – preschoolers and up and is sure to be enjoyed by them too.
Are you ready to make a paper penguin?
Let’s create!
What you need
You will need two strips of black paper, one slightly wider than the other, both can be the same length.
You can fold the paper to mark the “cut” line.
We often use clothespins to hold the paper in place while the glue dries.
Take the smaller roll of paper (penguin head shape) and glue two eyes on it.
Cut out a triangular beak shape from orange paper and glue it onto the head.
Stick the head to the body.
Finally glue the penguin to the base.
You have created a wonderful paper penguin.
