We’re making one in black and white, but there are many other colors your child can use to create their own.

If your child loves cows most of all, they might also want to learn how to draw a cow (it’s easy). Or maybe make a bookmark in the corner of the cow? Beef is the best!
How to make handmade cow paper plates
What you need:
- paper plate
- black paint (or other)
- Cardboard comes in a variety of colors
- drag
- adhesive
- paintbrush
- black marker
- two big round eyes
Step-by-step instructions
You will need a paper plate to make a paper plate cow.
Have your child draw a few dots on a paper plate. Let the paint dry.
Cut out ear shapes from white paper. Paint a section black or use black construction paper.
If using construction paper, use glue to glue the inner and outer ears together.
Repeat the process and create the remaining ear.
Glue both ears to the back of the cow’s head.
Cut an oval from light pink paper for the cow’s nose and glue it in place.
Create two horns – cut two horn shapes from yellow or similar colored construction paper and glue them to the back of the sheet.
It’s drawing time!
Have your child draw two nostrils and a smiling face on the cow’s nose.
Glue two large eyes on the nose to make the paper plate cow come to life! If you don’t have sharp eyes, you can also cut two circles from white paper and draw black spots inside.
