Snails are so cool! Did you know that when they feel threatened, they hide in their shells?
Another interesting fact about snails is that their main priority is food and hiding from predators. This craft may not be a natural snail, but it is interesting because it helps us celebrate these interesting creatures.
You’ll want to make this paper snail craft with your kids!
What you need:
Flatten the pink paper.
Continue cutting the meat in half.
Start stirring in a fan motion to form a rosette.
You will glue the last part of the fan.
Take both fan-folded pieces and join them together.
Fold everything in half as you see in the picture.
Open it up and tie a string in the middle. Cut the string to remove the excess.
Once the wire is in place, you will begin gluing it back together.
This time you will glue the ends together as shown here.
To complete the asterisk, you will glue the ends together to form a circle.
Make sure everything is tight and secure!
Place the asterisk on the yellow paper as a placeholder and draw the snail’s body around it!
Once you have cut out the snail, you can glue the asterisk piece onto the snail.
Press hard!
The final product should look like this and you can add a little smile and eyes to the snail.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
