Pattern Recognition Cardboard Activity

Learning can be fun if you do it that way. This cardboard pattern recognition activity is not only fun, but your child can learn a lot in the process. Pick a day to do this activity and have fun!

This is an inexpensive activity that you can also do at home with your kids. Sometimes it’s nice to not have to spend a lot of money to do a learning activity. If you have cardboard and pom poms, this activity is for you!

How to do cardboard pattern recognition activity

What you need:

  • Carton
  • Drag
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Glue
  • White paper
  • Purple
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green and blue paper
  • Badminton

Step by step instructions

Draw small circles on purple, orange, yellow, green and blue paper and cut them out.

You can cut out circles in different colors.

No matter what color you have on hand, you can cut it into a circle.

Stick ten pieces in any order onto white paper and cut them out.

This is where you can get creative with your designs!

No matter what colors you have, you can create fun patterns.

Draw around the bottom of the cardboard.

Continue cutting it out. Then glue it to the other cardboard pieces.

This will be the most important part of your work.

Place the white patterned paper of your choice on top of the cardboard piece.

Use tassels to let children recreate the pattern.

This can turn into a full day activity if you want. Take your time and be creative and the patterns will become a favorite pastime for your family.
