To make a paper chicken you only need a few materials!

How to make paper rolled chick

What you need:

  • toilet paper roll
  • yellow paint
  • drag
  • hot glue gun
  • orange construction paper
  • Googly eyes

Step by step guide

Prepare all the materials you need to make this craft.

Paint the toilet paper roll yellow.

You will want to do this a few hours before you plan to make your craft so it has time to dry!

Mark where you need to cut on the toilet paper roll.

The pieces you cut out are for the wings, head and body of the chick.

You will glue the head to the body of the chick.

Press firmly to ensure the chick’s head is in the correct position.

Next, you will use super glue to glue the wings to the chick.

You can create this wing shape by cutting a small section of a toilet paper roll in half.

Next, you will cut a heart shape from orange cardstock.

Then you will glue the entire chick onto the heart shaped feet.

You can also make a small beak out of orange cardboard.

The process of adding googly eyes can begin.

As you can see, the finished product looks lovely.

Kids love making chicks like this.

It helps develop your child’s fine motor skills, while giving you the opportunity to reuse and recycle materials.
