Penguin Clothespin Puppets

Penguins certainly look funny with their wobbly gait. However, they are amazing animals. Although these birds cannot fly, they are extremely agile in the water, just as agile as other birds in the sky.

There are so many fun things you can learn about penguins and our clothespin puppets will make learning easier (and more fun). With 4 different penguin designs, we know your child will have no problem choosing their favorite.

How to make a penguin clothespin

Step by step instructions

The first thing you need to do is print out the template :). These clothespin puppets will look best printed on thicker cardstock/printing paper. You can also print them out on regular paper, make them, and laminate them before gluing them onto the clothespins.

With the black and white version of the penguin clothespin puppets, once you have printed out the template, color the penguins. There are not many details so you can easily color them with crayons.

Once you are happy with the color of your penguin, or if you printed out a pre-colored version, cut out the outline of the penguin.

You will see a line running across the penguin’s beak (and through the head) – cut along that line.

Apply glue only to the clothespin/clip part/.

Glue the penguin to the clothespin, each part of the penguin is on a part of the clothespin area.

And that’s all there is to it.
