What you need:
You can get the printable template at the end of this guide.
Print out the templates. Use thicker printing paper/cardstock. You can also print on regular printer paper, but we recommend that you laminate the decorations once finished.
Have children color the decorations. After coloring, let the kids cut out the ornaments.
Make a hole – using a single hole punch is most effective.
Tie a string through the hole and hang your ornament on the Christmas tree.
On the first page you will find a selection of super cute Christmas decorations to color: a cute Christmas tree, a sleepy Santa, a polar bear in a Christmas hat, a smiling snowman and a festive deer.
The second sheet features more festive characters: penguins, snowmen, Christmas elves, beach-ready Santa and prancing reindeer.
There’s more than enough to decorate the whole tree – it’s also possible to get kids to color in bow ornaments, reindeer, jolly Santa, snowy day penguins and another snowman.
Some of you have extremely large plants, so here are a few more! A penguin with earmuffs, gingerbread man, presents, bells and a Christmas tree destroyer (aka cat).
If your child enjoys classic jewelry, we’ve also designed some simple patterned pieces to color in.
The simple shape makes these perfect for young children.
Print as many as you like and let your kids make unique Christmas tree decorations.
For the more creative kids, we also include blank ornaments where kids can paint their own unique Christmas tree ornaments.
While the intention is to color these ornaments, we have also included pre-colored versions of all the ornaments.
You can use them as inspiration to color your own.
Or use them as is, just print and hang them on your Christmas tree.
All are painted the same color to complement each other.
You can also combine these with black and white ones, and kids who don’t like to color can make pre-colored ones.
This is still fun to make.
Perfect for light scissor skills work in the classroom.
