Available in both a pre-colored version and a black and white version for kids to color, this craft is suitable for any occasion.
This is a great project for the classroom because it is a “one page” template and requires no preparation for this activity.
What you need:
Print the template onto cardstock. If using colored pens or pencils, regular printer paper will work fine, but if using felt-tip pens, the paper may wrinkle a little as it absorbs.
Color the designs.
Cut them out.
Looks fun right?
Fold them in half (there is a dotted line on the designs there to help kids). The design should be on the inside.
Taking one of the folded eggs, we take the Easter egg design and apply glue to one side (outside).
Let’s take another design, in this case a chick…
And paste it on top of the first one. Ideally you want to switch between the character design and the egg design.
Fold the chick (or whatever design you choose) and apply glue.
Paste the next design and continue pasting until finished.
When you run out of eggs, apply glue to one of the open ends (not pictured)…
And glue it to the remaining open end.
Done!
Now turn the pages to find out what’s interesting.
The first few “circles” will be a little harder…
…but once the paper softens a bit, everything flips back smoothly.
Your child will enjoy turning the pages of this book.
From the first egg…
…until the last chick.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
