We really love these cards, we shared a similar set of smaller surprise Halloween pumpkin cards not too long ago, but expanding the characters is definitely due. We also have the coolest dinosaur surprise cards.

But let’s get back to our spooky monsters. There’s a lot in this printable template set… We have a witch.

And we have a ghost…

…just like a zombie showing off his brain…

A silly bat is also waiting…

Step-by-step instructions

You can print them on regular printer paper, which is a great option for larger groups because heavier printer paper can be a bit more expensive.

However, these cards, especially black and white cards, will work best if printed on heavier stock.

If you’re going to make a memory card game out of these, print each card twice.

If you choose the black and white version, it’s best to color the cards before cutting them out as this makes coloring easier.

Once colored, cut along the outer border.

Fold along the dotted line at the top.

Now align the top line with the bottom line.

Run your hand along the card so the folds are nice and crisp.

All has been done! These Halloween surprise cards are really easy to make.

Now your child can open and close them to see what kind of Halloween monster lurks inside.

Oh so much fun and so many different cards!
