We love our combination cube collection because all the cubes can be combined with each other, so if you’ve printed out our animal combination cubes, these monster paper toys will add so much more combination fun.
If your child is afraid of monsters, we certainly hope these printable blocks will help them get rid of the monsters under their bed. Monsters can be your child’s friends and that’s why we designed these blocks, a fun paper toy to help deal with or overcome any fear of monsters.
Each cube comes with 6 designs (6 heads, 6 bodies, and 6 different monster feet), so there are tons of monster combinations your child can create.
Ready? Let’s mix and match.
How to assemble our monster puzzles and blocks
What you need:
- our printable monster mix and match cube template (you can find the template at the end of this tutorial).
- paper – we recommend using thicker printing paper (we use 160 gsm white paper)
- markers or other coloring supplies
- drag
- glue
- printer
Remember, there is no “right or wrong” way to color a monster.

Or follow the step-by-step instructions below
To get started, choose the version you like and print it out (get it at the end of this step-by-step guide).
If you don’t have thicker paper available, simply tape two sheets of regular paper together to create sturdier blocks.
If you want to color the blocks, print out the printable version and color the monster parts.
Once you have colored all the monsters, it’s time to cut.
We used craft sticks to create some nice crisp folds.
Continue along the edges of the flap.
Once you have folded all the straight lines, it is time to put the cube together.
There are a few different ways to assemble it. We decided to do the process where we first glue all the parts with the lid on.
We leave one side (without the lid) until finished – closing the monster cube will be much easier this way.
Repeat this process with all the other cubes and let the glue dry a bit when finished.
The fun can begin! Combine and match your monsters and enjoy!
