We love making cute little turkey crafts, especially when we use frugal materials – like paper, we love making paper crafts.
This one will be done in a jiffy, you can use regular printer paper or craft paper to make it. We have one standing proudly on our shelf by itself but you could also make a few and with some yarn threaded through the ends make a beautiful DIY fall wreath.
Want to take it to the next level?
Why not make a giant one out of cardboard or other thick paper (poster paper) and put a giant handmade turkey in your classroom or in your home. We are pretty sure that children will love to participate in such a project.

Follow the step-by-step instructions with pictures
Cut a wide strip of brown paper.
If you’re working with craft paper, the glue will take longer to set – we often use clothespins to hold the paper in place while the glue dries.
You have just finished the turkey body.
Apply glue to the sole.
Also, keep your eyes glued to your head.
Draw a tail around the body.
Draw feather tails around the first shape.
Leave it for a while to let the glue harden.
Done! What a great little turkey!
