Some bulletin board ideas are created by teachers, while others are classroom projects that you ask your students to help you decorate. All of these ideas would look great in your home classroom too! Happy decorating.

Spring bulletin board ideas

We share some of the ideas we’ve prepared for you, as well as some of the most fun classroom decoration ideas submitted by teachers around the world (want to see your ideas featured here? There are many fun themes you can use for spring, flowers, insects, growth are some of the most popular choices. They are perfect for late February, March, April and other spring months.

Never stop growing

Let your students help you make the cutest and easiest spring bulletin board. Have them stamp their hands onto a piece of white construction paper (using flowers as paint).

It would be even cuter if they could write their name next to the handprint.

Cut out handprints and turn them into flowers! The grass on this flower is made from tissue paper (you can actually get it cut into strips at some party supply stores).

We are hungry for knowledge

Caterpillar imagery is certainly popular when it comes to spring bulletin boards, whether it’s for appreciating nature or Eric Carle’s The Hungry Caterpillar.

To make this, use some brown wrapping paper, crumple it up a bit to create a bark texture, and glue it to a piece of newspaper to make branches.

Cut out circles from “caterpillar” colored cardstock (if you regularly decorate bulletin boards and cut out circles, I recommend using a circle cutter).

Spring is Coming Bulletin Board Ideas

Here’s a way to refresh air-dried clothes. Cut out the letters (I recommend using a cutter as they can be quite difficult to cut otherwise).

You can also print the letters on paper and cut them into the shapes of shirts, socks, pants, and other laundry. It all depends a little on how much space you have on your bulletin board.

Hang the letters from clothespins on a line to look like a clothesline. I also added two clouds cut out of construction paper at each end.

Make paper flowers (you can see the tutorial for smaller paper flower strips). Cut grass out of green cardstock and decorate with ribbon if you want.

Learning gives you wings to fly

Another fun idea for a spring bulletin board is adorable birds in a nest.

To do this, take some brown wrapping paper and crumple it up and make a nest. Cut a branch shape out of brown construction paper and tape it to your bulletin board.

We made the birds very simple, with oval shapes. Two in the nest and one ready to fly.

Paper string rainbow

We love paper chains and you can create the most impressive rainbow display with them.

Butterflies on the Balloon Tree

This idea was submitted by Katarina, and it’s one of the best spring bulletin board ideas. A bunch of green balloons are tied to the board and decorated with paper butterflies to add an extra spring feel. We love it.

Reading books helps your mind blossom

We love the header and decorations on this gorgeous bulletin board submitted by Kayla C. The paper flower border adds a springtime feel.

Use cells wisely

You can absolutely use everyday objects to make a bulletin board, just check out this awesome display submitted by Emily H. Use your old broken umbrella, add some paper rain drops and make a statement. The little clothespin butterfly is super cute too.
