Round cookie cutter

Ingredients for making ice cream:

2 egg whites1 cup powdered sugar1/2 teaspoon cream of tartarYellow and black gel food coloring1 box Wilton Heart Confetti

Instructions for making cookies:

Beat the softened butter with the sugar until the mixture is smooth and grain-free to the touch in a mixing bowl. Add all 4 eggs at once… Continue mixing. Add the vanilla. Continue mixing. Sift the four, baking powder, and salt together. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Continue mixing to ensure all ingredients are incorporated. Knead the dough into a ball, covering the entire dough with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about 6 hours or overnight. Check to see if the dough is firm. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Remove the cookie dough from the refrigerator and let it soften a bit. Turn out the flour onto a cutting board, dust a rolling pin with flour, and (if necessary) knead a little more flour into the mixture. Roll the dough out onto a cutting board and, using cookie cutters, begin making your cookies. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Use a metal spatula to transfer the cut cookies to the lined baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes. Check to see if the cookies are fully cooked. Remove the cookies from the baking sheet and place on a wire rack to cool completely. (About 10 minutes).

Take out two tablespoons of frosting. Place in a separate bowl. Add a few drops of black gel food coloring. Stir to combine. Add yellow gel food coloring to remaining frosting. Mix well. Scoop yellow frosting and black frosting into individual piping bags fitted with a #5 tip. Twist the open end of the bag to push the frosting into the tip of the bag. Trace a circle with yellow frosting.

Cookie Decoration

Let the yellow icing around the cookie dry for 30 seconds before piping a thinner layer of yellow icing onto the round body. * Squeeze most of the yellow icing into a bowl then add 1 teaspoon of water and mix well. Leave a small amount of yellow icing in the piping bag to use as glue for the heart eyes. Let the icing dry completely before adding the smiles and eyes. Use the remaining yellow icing in the piping bag as glue to attach the glitter hearts for eyes to the cookie. Follow the design on the cookie, using the black icing you piped to add the smiles. Let the cookie dry for another 5 hours.
