This toilet paper roll Christmas wreath is a simple and beautiful recycled craft to celebrate the 4 Sundays before Christmas Eve.
Each Sunday during Advent, a candle is “lit.”
Advent Wreath Toilet Paper Roll
A cute Christmas craft with recycled toilet paper rolls! Here’s how to make it:
How to make this Advent wreath
You will need:
4 toilet paper rolls 1 long piece of cardboard (about 30×5 cm in size) 4 cardboard rings (about 8 cm in diameter) 8 paper flames (You can draw them on the circle but we decided to draw them separately to make it easier to draw.)

Instruct:
Cut a long piece of cardboard to make the wreath. 5cm wide has been tested. We just used one of the cardboard pieces on the back of an A3 block of paper!
Prepare 4 circles. We use a set of compasses but cup shapes will work too!
Draw 8 separate flames on a piece of paper or directly onto the circles.
Now that we have all the pieces, it’s time to paint!
Choose your favorite color to paint the toilet paper rolls to make candles and cardboard wreaths.
Paint the circles a sunny yellow. This will represent the warm glow of the candle. The flames can also be painted yellow. We added a little red to make them stand out against the yellow circles.
Let it dry…The hardest part! Wait!
Now it’s time to get out the decoration material. We made yellow lines and dots with a cotton swab and added some glitter with glitter glue. (We added the glitter to the clear glue.)
Let dry…
If you have separate flame pieces then glue them into circles.
Bend the long piece of cardboard until it forms a circle. Glue them together.
Attach toilet paper rolls to the wreath.
You now have a complete Advent Wreath and 4 separate flames that you can attach to your candles when the time is right.
There are 2 ways to attach the flame:
1. Simply attach the flame to the candle or
2. Cut 2 lines along the width of the toilet paper roll and stick them on the candle.
My kids chose the following way! 🙂
