It’s been a while since we shared a toilet paper roll craft idea, so it’s time to come up with a new one (or a few). Since we love peacocks, we thought we’d make a toilet paper roll craft and we think it’s really adorable.
This craft requires a lot of cutting so it is great for practicing cutting skills.

We have quite a few toilet roll crafts on our site, but we’ve been “off the grid” lately and that needs to change! We love thrifty crafting materials more than anything, and toilet rolls definitely fit the bill (although we prefer kitchen paper towel rolls).
What you need
Optional: moving eye stickers (definitely more fun than drawing eyes with markers).
Cut the blue paper, the paper should be the same width as the roll and long enough that you can wrap it around the toilet paper roll.
You can also use blue paint to color the paper roll.
Spread glue on the blue paper.
And wrap it around the toilet paper roll. Let the glue set.
Cut multiple strips of paper. We used a paper cutter to make it faster but scissors work just as well.
Our paper strips are cut to the width of a regular sheet of paper and are about a “finger” wide.
Tape the two ends of the paper together to form loops.
Apply a sufficient amount of glue to the back of the toilet paper roll.
Stick another round. And another round…
Until you have a beautiful peacock tail.
Cut a beak out of yellow paper. Glue it to the roll. Also glue on two eyes (or draw them).
Cut two feet of yellow paper.
Stick them to the bottom (inside) of the paper roll.
You have just completed your handmade peacock made from toilet paper rolls.
