Succulents are pretty awesome on their own, but you can make them even prettier by decorating their flower pots. And when it comes to succulent ideas, there’s nothing better than a unicorn right now.
Just look at those adorable eyes! And the cheeks, the flowers, and the whole package. And it’s pretty easy to make yourself.
What you need:
Start by painting your terracotta planter white. You will need to apply a few coats of paint, this will depend a little on the pigment of the paint (different brands will require more or less coats), on average 2-3 coats should be enough. Make sure the paint is completely dry before you continue.
Make leaves. Trace leaves onto cardboard or felt and cut them out. You will need a few of these.
Make the horns. Draw a triangle on gold glitter cardboard and cut it out. Also prepare flower decorations.
Stick the horn inside the pot, facing the mouth of the pot.
Time to decorate. Glue some leaves. Add some flowers.
Sketch out your eyes with a pencil. When you are happy with how they look, fill them in with a black marker. You can draw blush on your cheeks with your fingers, simply dip them in pink paint and dip your fingers into the clay pot.
Fill a terracotta pot with soil and plant your succulent. You have yourself a beautiful DIY unicorn planter.
