What you need

Step by step instructions

The first step is to print out the Vampire Puppet onto paper. We recommend using thick printer paper for durability, but you can also use regular paper.

Next, color the vampire’s head, body, and arms with crayons or markers.

The second page of the printable comes with an additional set of arms and fangs, making it easy to print for classroom use. If you’re planning on doing this craft with a group of kids, cut out the second sheet along the dotted lines first and hand it out before coloring.

Once you’re done coloring, carefully cut out the arms and fangs and set them aside.

Next, take the vampire head and body paper and fold along the dotted lines. First one side, then the other.

Then fold the paper along the dotted lines starting at the top and working your way down. Creasing the creases will help keep the folds sharp. Once all the creases are folded, unfold the paper.

Place the paper with the vampire head and body facing down. Fold it back lengthwise so that you can see the word glue. Next, apply glue to the flip side. Stick glue is the best glue to use because it is easy for small hands to handle and dries quickly. Glue dots will work just as well.

Next, fold the remaining long fold back, gluing the two folds together.

When you flip the paper over, you will see the vampire’s head and body. Fold the paper in half horizontally, then fold the remaining folds in half horizontally. The paper should form an M shape.

Then you glue the vampire fangs along the dotted line above the vampire’s mouth.

Finally, glue the arms up to the torso.
