We hope you have a few rolls of paper stored away because it’s unlikely you’ll be making just one winter windsock toilet paper roll. Once you’ve made your first roll, you’ll want to make a dozen.
You can even combine this winter craft with the snowman wind tunnel craft we shared.

Toilet paper roll crafts are great to do with kids, as the materials used are cheap (and recycled). If you don’t like toilet paper rolls, you can always use kitchen paper towel rolls, make your own rolls from construction paper, or even buy rolls of construction paper from craft stores.
This winter toilet paper roll craft would make a cute decoration for your classroom or home, if you do it with kids at home. It’s pretty easy to make and can be made entirely from recycled materials.
What you need:
Start by painting the toilet paper roll blue.
Once you have finished painting, let the paint dry before moving on to the next step.
Punch two holes (one horizontally across the other) on one side of the paper roll.
Thread the yarn through the holes.
Knot.
Punch snowflakes out of white paper. Kids love this step.
Glue the snowflakes to the paper roll.
You can also paint snowflakes or make snowflakes with fingerprints.
Cut long strips of tissue paper. We chose light blue and white for this project – other colors will work too.
Glue strips of tissue paper to the inside of the toilet paper roll (kids can also glue them to the outside if they find this easier).
And that’s it, your handmade Winter Windsock toilet paper roll is ready to display.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
