Easter Corner Bookmarks – Bunny And Chick Template

Are you a fan of corner bookmarks? We have a special Easter corner bookmark set for you! We are big fans of origami but sometimes you just need a cute alternative that only requires cutting and a little glue (like kirigami).

This set features a cute chick and an Easter bunny, fun design right? A perfect candy basket decoration.

Easter is just around the corner so it’s time to start planning any Easter projects you or your kids will be doing.

If you have an avid reader in your home or are trying to “nurture” one, making your own bookmarks is always a fun activity for them.

We’re pretty sure books are much more fun when they come with a cute bookmark, and even more fun if kids make their own.

These also have a bit of a 3D effect so if you squeeze them slightly their heads will move back and forth. Cool right?

We designed two adorable corner book makers, a chick and a bunny for kids to color first and then fold together.

They can be printed on colored or white paper, whichever works best (white paper usually allows for more coloring and personalization).

This would be a great classroom project for kids to make and take home. Ready to make these cute cookies? Let’s get started!

Folding these corner bookmarks is easy! First print out the templates – bunny or chick or both.

We decided to print them on colored paper, bright yellow for the chick and light blue for the bunny. The only downside to colored paper is that the insides of the eyes won’t be white (unless you have a white marker).

Color in the details. The chick’s beak and feet and the rabbit’s feet, ears and nose.

Of course we chose orange for the chick’s legs and beak and pink for the bunny’s feet, ears and nose.

Once you have everything colored, carefully cut out the bookmark template in the corner.

Cut out the outline. Cut out the head circle (you can also cut out a blank circle to decorate as desired with a chicken bookmark). Cut out the legs too.

Also cut along the dashed lines at the top.

Fold along the winged (or bunny) lines.

Now fold only one side.

Cut the wings. This part is a little tricky. But bear with us.

Fold the bookmark in half at the corner, cut a little along the dotted line to make the wing.

Open the wing. There should be just enough room to insert scissors and cut along the dotted line to make the wing.

Cut along the dashed line around the wing.

Repeat with the other side.

Now fold the bookmark corner back.

Slide the two circles together (through the dashed line you cut earlier).

Your bookmarks should look like this at this point.

Paste the circle with the circle input on the bookmark.

Press down and let the glue dry.

Stick the foot on the chick bookmark.

Done!

Now repeat the process with the bunny and your Easter corner bookmark set is complete.
