We thought a cute little four seasons tree craft would be a great addition to exploring and learning about the seasons. This could be a fun four seasons craft for preschoolers as well as kindergarteners although it would require parent or teacher assistance.

There are many ways kids can decorate this project, and you certainly don’t have to limit yourself to markers, crayons, or pens! Using scrap paper, pom poms, and other “pop” materials, you can add depth to this 4 season tree craft.

Or follow the step-by-step instructions below

Print out our craft template. You will need 4 plants for this craft (any template you choose).

We printed on thicker paper. Regular paper is fine (just not as stable and durable).

Once you have your templates, it’s time to get creative and color them.

Have your child color a tree for each season. Let them be as creative as they can.

Once you have finished coloring, cut the paper in half (along the dotted lines). You can cut them in half before your child starts coloring.

Now we need to double the trees!

There are two ways to do this. You can do it before you start cutting like we did – there is a dashed line at the top and bottom of the tree that indicates the middle position. Fold along that line.

You can also cut the plants first and fold them in half once you’re done cutting.

Cut the tree.

Fold it in half again, this time with the colored side on the inside.

Fold all four pieces together. Take the spring and apply glue to one side (as shown in the picture below).

Take the summer plant and glue it on top of the spring plant. Press down to let the glue set.

Now take the fall tree and glue it on top of the spring tree and summer tree.
