Make a unique Mother’s Day craft (see our Twist and Pop Mother’s Day Card or Color and assemble the Mother’s Day Agamograph Template).

Create the perfect Mother’s Day card with this simple tutorial.

This bright, colorful card is sure to put a smile on any mom’s face!

How to make paper crafts for Mother’s Day

What you need:

  • printable template
  • colored paper (purple, yellow, same color as the camera body, two colors pink and blue)
  • pencil
  • drag
  • glue
  • marker pen (pink and black)
  • eyeshadow powder
  • Braided wire
  • sparkling flower shape

Step-by-step instructions

Grab your scissors and start cutting out shapes from your template.

Girl

After cutting the pieces, use a pencil to draw them on paper the same color as the body.

Use a pencil to continue the drawing process on the yellow paper.

Next, use a pencil to draw shapes on the blue paper.

Take your pink paper and draw shoes and dress with a pencil.

Start drawing small circles with a pencil on the white paper.

You can also skip drawing this shape since you printed it on white paper.

Take your heart shape, place it on the pink paper and draw along that line.

Assemble the character pieces, add the body to the face and the hair to the head.

Glue the white circle for the eyes to the face.

Add shirt to body.

Glue the skirt and legs to the character.

Apply some glue to the pink shoes and attach them to the bottom of the feet.

Glue one hand to the back of the body and one hand to the front.

Be careful not to apply all the glue to the hand first – you only need to apply the glue to the shoulder as our character will be holding a balloon.

Take your marker and draw eyes, eyelashes, and a smile on the character’s face.

Apply a little eyeshadow to your cheeks to make them blush.

Balloon heart

Write cute Mother’s Day greetings on pink hearts.

Add glue to the back of your character.

Place the character on the purple paper.

Cut some of your twine.

Attach the string to the back of the pink heart.

Glue the heart shape to the purple paper, above the character and off to the right.

Place the string between his hands, making it look like your character is holding a balloon.

Add a little glue to secure it in place.

Press down firmly with two fingers.

Tie a piece of your twine into a bow.

Glue it underneath the pink heart, trimming the edges of the twine.

And now you have a beautiful, bright and colorful homemade card to give to someone special for Mother’s Day.

Is this the cutest card you’ve ever laid eyes on?

The best part about it? It’s homemade!

We love how ours turned out.

Have fun!
