Are you ready for shark week? Make this fierce yet cute shark corner bookmark to keep your books safe.
Shark week is definitely fun and we love doing shark projects (this shark lice catcher is one of my favorites).

We’ve made quite a few origami corner bookmarks (with more to come), shark one was on our to do list from the start. Honestly, we usually prefer simple origami for kids.
What you need
Ready to get started? Fold the paper diagonally (both diagonals). Fold into a triangle. Crease the fold. Now, hold the top corner of the triangle (just one piece of paper) and fold it towards the bottom as indicated by the pink dot.
Grab one bottom corner and fold it to the middle. Do the same with the other corner (see pink dot). Open both up.
Now take one of those corners again and fold it towards the top of the triangle (see the pink dot). Do the same with the other corner. Now, tuck these two “edges” into the pocket and you have a nice base to work with.
Even with classic origami paper (one end colored, the other white), you can still make a very fancy looking shark (they have a white bottom after all).
It’s time to decorate!
Cut out fins, teeth, and tongue. Glue them on/to make a shark. Add two wiggle eye stickers and your shark is ready to take a bite out of the next book you read.
