We have 3 cute creatures hiding inside the eggs, and while 2 of them aren’t egg-born creatures, they’re still pretty cool.

We have an Easter chick.

And an Easter bunny.

And finally a cute sheep hidden inside the egg.

How to make surprise Easter egg cards

What you need:

Step by step instructions

Print out the templates. All templates are available in black and white and color, and are available in two sizes.

You can print them on regular paper or thicker printer paper – we recommend choosing thicker printer paper if your child will be using crayons to colour their pattern.

Regular printer paper is suitable for writing with colored pencils and crayons.

If you print the black and white version, have your child color it before starting to cut.

Cut the pattern – cut along the outside straight line.

Fold along the dotted line at the top of the pattern as shown below.

Now carefully fold the pattern over, aligning the top dashed line with the bottom dashed line.

Press down firmly to crisp the folds.

Done. The surprise cards are ready.

Now you can open and close them to let the Easter creature come out of them.
