Tissue Paper Flower Craft

You can create a beautiful bouquet by making this tissue paper flower.

We love pink tones but there really are no limits.

Is there ever a time when there are too many flower craft ideas? I think there is now and I love making all sorts of flowers (check out our other ideas, you’ll find them at the end of this post).

These handmade paper flowers would make the ultimate classroom decoration as well as a thoughtful homemade gift for kids for Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day – we all love flowers, right?).

You can even put them in a small pot, they look better that way. Add a little note and you have a winner.

Handmade tissue paper flowers

What you need:

Bright pink, light pink, and white tissue paper3″ and 2″ scalloped round cookie cuttersPen/pencilScissorsWavy craft stickTeal craft paintStaplerElmer’s glue

Paint each craft stick with turquoise craft paint and let dry (they dry quickly with just one coat)

Fold tissue paper into a circle about 10 sheets thick, place cookie cutter on top and trace with pen/pencil.

Hold the tissue paper tight and cut all 10 pieces together.

Remove the pen/pencil and staple the remaining 9 pieces together.

One piece at a time, start gathering the top piece first and continue until you reach the bottom but keep the bottom flat.

Glue a flower to the top of each green craft stick and let dry.
