Animal Crafts for Kids are one of our favorites (check out our Panda Paper Box Crafts or make an instant 3D Snail Craft).

With a white body and black arms and legs, this panda looks ready for a new day!

The face can also be customized or you can follow the instructions to put it together.

How to make handmade panda socks

What you need:

  • pencil
  • drag
  • socks (white and black)
  • felt material (white and black)
  • topic
  • needle
  • fiber
  • eye shadow

Step-by-step instructions

Body

Start by taking an old white sock and stuffing it full of stuff.

You will cut off the excess fabric from the sock.

Take a needle and thread and sew the sock together.

This part is easiest to sew by hand.

While sewing, you need to make sure to get every part of the sock to ensure it is sealed.

You can then cut off the excess thread from the sock.

Ears

The next part of this job is to cut off the panda’s ears.

Cover your ears with a needle and thread.

Cut off the excess of black thread.

Now you are ready to sew the panda’s ears.

You will want to make sure the ears are sewn well.

Sew only the lower part of the ear to the head.

Your progress will look like this!

Our ears are neatly sewn on the panda’s head.

Eyes

Next, you will create two circles on the black fabric for the eyes.

You will also draw the inside line of the eye on the white felt.

The circles need to be slightly smaller than the previous black circles.

You will then sew the black part to the white part of the eye.

Make sure the sewing is done to last!

The eyes will look something like this.

Notice how we left a little white streak on the black part of the eye?

It gives a slightly more realistic look.

Next, you will cut out the black patches of fur behind the eyes that we sewed in the previous steps.

Continue sewing eyes onto the black fur patches.

When sewn together, they will look like this.

Sew eyes onto the panda’s face.

Our panda is in such shape.

Nose

Go ahead and cut the nose into a rounded triangle.

You will then sew the nose onto the panda.

Cut off excess thread.

The mouth

Make the panda smile by sewing a black line.

Pink cheeks

Add a little blush to make the panda look happy.

Arms and Legs

Now you will begin the process of working out your arms and legs.

Cut out four pieces from the black sock.

After cutting it out, you will sew it on one side and leave a space to insert the filling.

It’s time to add the stuffing.

Sew the opening on the left side and cut off the excess thread.

You should have two arms and two legs!

Start sewing on the panda’s arm.

And now you will make the legs!

The final panda sock craft will look amazing!

We love our new sock friend!

How about you?

You can make a whole panda family!

Enjoy creating your new animal friend and stay tuned!
